Workshop
A bright colourful celebration of the sights, signs and sounds of our city home, encouraging children to identify and celebrate their local urban environment.
Tāmaki Makaurau tamariki have the unique experience of living in a busy city, experiencing daily all the energy of city life. This workshop aims to look closer at our immediate surroundings using the signs textures and sounds as building blocks to create fun multimedia works, landscapes that depict the urban environment as bright, fun and full of life.
The workshop will include a variety of media and techniques paint, charcoal, pastel, stamp making, collage and sticker art. Combined in easy to manage steps with an overall focus on composition and a nod to both abstraction and storytelling in Art.
