Workshop
Tamariki will explore the narratives of Matariki, learning about the individual stars and their cultural significance. Inspired by these stories, students will investigate the interplay of light and shadow to create their own representation of a Matariki theme.
Through storytelling, design, and paper construction, they will discover how layering and light can be used to create perspective and depth. The resulting work functions as an intricate paper sculpture by day and transforms into an enchanting light box by night.
