Workshop
In this clay workshop, students will use hand-building techniques to design and shape their very own bowl or vessel. They will then decorate their bowl using inspiration from bugs and birds we might find in a garden environment – constructing these using a variety of decorative techniques including slip adhering, scratching and vibrant pigments.
Pieces will be glazed and fired, making their vessels fully functional for everyday use.
Your term curriculum topic can easily be integrated into this workshop upon request.

Available weekdays 10am - 1pm.
Classes can be held at Corban Estate Arts Centre, or at your school by arrangement.

Say It Sky High

Kites that fly our words high up in the sky. This workshop takes cues from the rich history of Protest art in Aotearoa, and asks young people what they would want to say and then gives them the tools to fly their words high for everyone to see.
