From Scratch musician/composer Phil Dadson invites both amateur and pro’ music-makers to a workshop for outdoor, marching-band style, community-centric performance. Presented across three afternoon sessions, participants will build coherent skills around rhythm, improvisation and performance drawn from Phil’s 50+ years in musical exploration and invention.

Kites that fly our words high up in the sky. This workshop takes cues from the rich history of Protest art in Aotearoa, and asks young people what they would want to say and then gives them the tools to fly their words high for everyone to see.
