 Landscapes of Tamaki Mākaurau

In this workshop students will create a modernist Tamaki Mākarau landscape painting, influenced by the composition and style of famous NZ artist Colin McCahon. Students will learn to frame and draw up simple multi views of a chosen landscape photograph. They will learn basic painting techniques of mixing colours, blending, light and shadow. Older tamariki will also have the option of painting or stenciling some simple words onto their masterpiece.
