Workshop
In this clay workshop, students will learn hand-building techniques to create their own lidded container. Ocean-inspired objects, creatures or motifs will be used to decorate their boxes.
Students will learn a variety of decorative techniques such as slip adhering, scratching, and using vibrant pigments. The pieces will be glazed and fired, making their vessels fully functional for everyday use.
It takes three weeks to fire and glaze the pieces. If needed, the term curriculum topic can be easily integrated into this workshop upon request.
