 A Julie Moselen Masterclass

Julie Moselen is a large-scale sculptural artist based on-site at Corban Estate. Inspired by the ancient symbolism and rugged coastline of her Cornish homeland, this workshop offers children the opportunity to learn directly from the artist herself.

Julie will discuss how her culture has inspired and influenced her work, touching on themes of cycles in nature and season. She will introduce the concept of how ideas can be represented by form and students will be discover through play how to think draw and design in 3D. Sculptural language will be introduced giving students the tools to describe and observe their work in sculptural terms.

Each student will create multiple paper works and one finished sculptural marquette using modelling materials that can travel back to school/ home with them. A studio tour can be included on request.
