Workshop
Explore the art of glass casting in this 3-day workshop, working on a small scale, focusing on details and forms. Learn the basics of the lost wax method to create a simple and stunning glasswork. Beginning with a variety of other materials to explore different ways of finding form including simple techniques with wax and clay to create. Learn how to build reservoirs and plaster moulds developing an understanding of positive and negative space. You will be introduced to setting up the kiln for the firing and how to clean, polish and photograph your pieces!

Kites that fly our words high up in the sky. This workshop takes cues from the rich history of Protest art in Aotearoa, and asks young people what they would want to say and then gives them the tools to fly their words high for everyone to see.
