Class
Inspired by the colour and buzzing life of a summer garden and the painterly language of NZ painter Karl Maughan, students will first collage together their own imagined garden, learning about perspective and composition. Students will then paint a composition onto a board concentrating on the selection of colour and paint mixing techniques. The finished result will be a bright and summery, painted garden scene.

Kites that fly our words high up in the sky. This workshop takes cues from the rich history of Protest art in Aotearoa, and asks young people what they would want to say and then gives them the tools to fly their words high for everyone to see.
