Have a playful and expressive weekend learning abstract painting concepts and techniques.
You will use acrylic paints, gels, and additives on a large canvas provided. Feel free to bring along unfinished work to complete or get feedback on also.
James will deliver demonstrations and discussions on the colour wheel, light and shade, form, texture and constructing composition within your painting adventure.

This month, Blue September reminds us all to encourage the wonderful men in our lives to have their prostate checked regularly. With 1 in 8 kiwi men diagnosed with prostate cancer within their lifetimes, early detection is the best way to help save the lives of those we love.
In support of the Prostate Cancer Foundation NZ, we’ll donate $10 for every booking to the ‘September Abstract Adventure’ workshop to help them continue their education, advocacy and research into their cause.

Kites that fly our words high up in the sky. This workshop takes cues from the rich history of Protest art in Aotearoa, and asks young people what they would want to say and then gives them the tools to fly their words high for everyone to see.
