Workshop
Join us for an immersive workshop where we'll dive into the realms of needle felting, wet felting and textile sculpture, falling in love with the magical qualities of wool.
Created by fashion designer and wool-activist Liz Mitchell, this imaginative youth workshop encourages exploration with structural form, texture, colour and detail while gaining an understanding of the felting process from beginning to end.
We'll learn all about the qualities of natural New Zealand wool and how to create felt in 3-dimensional form, focusing on the wing patterns, using hand-sewing techniques to add unique finishing touches.
Tutor Profile: Liz Mitchell & the Wool Revolution Studio
Students must be at least 12 years old for this workshop, not suitable for under 12's.
