Workshop
Learn how to make your own natural, non-toxic, water-based paints and pastels then experiment with the results to create your own artworks.
Led by practicing eco-artist Holly Clarke, this two-day workshop will introduce you to techniques for creating your very own eco-friendly art materials.
Day one will begin with an overview of the materials involved and will follow with creating our own water-based pastels. Soon after, we'll dive into an introduction to pigment paints.
On day two, we'll delve deeper by making and painting with our newly made materials. Through playful experimentation accompanied by inspiring music, we'll explore freeform mark-making and embrace a process-driven approach with no determined outcome.
Enjoy a relaxed atmosphere with Holly's guidance and feedback at hand, allowing space for exploring your unique creative journey with your own handmade mediums.
By the end of the workshop, you'll gain insights into eco-friendly natural pigments and how you can incorporate them into your practice.
