Class
This class is designed to give children a broad understanding, knowledge and skill base for them to learn how to draw. Time will be spent studying light and shade, contrast, and rendering. A range of drawing styles will be covered which will include observational drawing, step by step guided drawing of animals and imaginative free drawing.
Two options are available this quarter, with a 6 week term class starting on Tuesday 28 July and another starting on Thursday 30 July.

Julie Moselen is a large-scale sculptural artist based on-site at Corban Estate. Inspired by the ancient symbolism and rugged coastline of her Cornish homeland, this workshop offers children the opportunity to learn directly from the artist herself.

Say It Sky High

Kites that fly our words high up in the sky. This workshop takes cues from the rich history of Protest art in Aotearoa, and asks young people what they would want to say and then gives them the tools to fly their words high for everyone to see.
