Class
These classes will take a holistic approach to oil painting, starting with preparing the canvas and covering how to use medium and care for brushes. Students will design their bush scene using collage and observational drawing and then reproduce in oil on canvas. Each student will produce one finished summer forest scene slowly building up layers of colour and texture.

Julie Moselen is a large-scale sculptural artist based on-site at Corban Estate. Inspired by the ancient symbolism and rugged coastline of her Cornish homeland, this workshop offers children the opportunity to learn directly from the artist herself.

Kites that fly our words high up in the sky. This workshop takes cues from the rich history of Protest art in Aotearoa, and asks young people what they would want to say and then gives them the tools to fly their words high for everyone to see.
