Workshop
Aotearoa’s history of peaceful protest has been preserved in profound photographs that convey a thousand words.
In this one-day Youth workshop, we'll consider how a single image can encapsulate a personal point of view or record a collective movement.
Beginning with basic instruction on the workings of a film camera, local photographer John Pratt will guide us to curate and frame our own perspectives through the lens. Using both artificial and natural light to enhance our shots, we'll then experience the magic of developing film in a pop-up dark room.
Please bring a full lunchbox and drink bottle dressed in clothes that are allowed to get dirty.
