Workshop
A workshop born out of conversations around the eclectic gardens of our our mothers and grandmothers, school Ag Days and sand saucer competitions.
In this workshop students will learn about the history of gardens and different flora in Aotearoa, flower arrangements and sand saucers.
Tamariki will make their own sand saucer composition with fresh flowers and leaves. They will then use their observation skills to make a colourful kaleidoscopic watercolour to document their putiputi saucers.

Available weekdays 10am - 1pm.
Class length: 3 hours (including 20 minute break).
Group size: Up to 60
We cater to any class size, however groups of less than 35 students do incur a minimum fee based on materials and educators’ time.
Classes can be held at Corban Estate Arts Centre, or at your school by arrangement.

Kites that fly our words high up in the sky. This workshop takes cues from the rich history of Protest art in Aotearoa, and asks young people what they would want to say and then gives them the tools to fly their words high for everyone to see.
