Workshop
In this workshop we will learn about Matariki star Waitā, who represents salt water and the sea creatures beneath our ocean waves. We will learn technical drawing skills as well as encourage creative exploration using Caran D'Ache pastels to draw our favourite underwater creatures.
The work of Aotearoa artist Warren Pohatu will be of inspiration, where we will learn about his art practice that will influence the composition, patterning and colouring of our artworks, resulting in a bold and unique picture celebrating Matariki.
