SHINE Glass Casting

Join artist Sofia Athineou for an exciting and intensive four-and-a-half-day glass casting workshop this summer. 
 
You'll get hands-on experience with every stage of the process, moving from initial concept to beautiful finished glasswork. You'll use clay, wax, plaster, and other materials to sculpt your design, build robust moulds, and finally, cast your creation in glass. The course includes exploring positive and negative space when creating 3D forms. 
 
After your pieces are fired, we'll reconnect for half a day to de-mould, clean, and hand-polish your finished glass art. The date/time of this will be organised with the group during the first four days.
