Workshop
Come and enjoy a fun day creating a Pounamu whale’s tooth pendant in this tikanga based contemporary workshop. Participants will learn about pounamu and be introduced to a new skill set through the design process, using grinders, drills, wet and dry sanding techniques and polishing tools while also learning lashing and binding techniques used in Māori object art.

Kites that fly our words high up in the sky. This workshop takes cues from the rich history of Protest art in Aotearoa, and asks young people what they would want to say and then gives them the tools to fly their words high for everyone to see.
