In this design focused, tikanga-based workshop, teens will be expertly guided to create a finished bone carving in their own creative form. Using grinders, drills, wet and dry sanding techniques, polishing tools and traditional Polynesian lashing and binding techniques, each completed taonga will be individual to the maker.
Closed toe footwear only.
Please bring a plate for shared kai.

Kites that fly our words high up in the sky. This workshop takes cues from the rich history of Protest art in Aotearoa, and asks young people what they would want to say and then gives them the tools to fly their words high for everyone to see.
