Learn the principle concepts involved in writing, drawing and developing single frame humour cartoons, three frame strip cartoons and topical editorial style news cartoons. Gain an understanding of perspective and dynamism, develop a character, and body movements. Advanced skill in drawing is not required. The main requirement is a desire to tell a story.

Kites that fly our words high up in the sky. This workshop takes cues from the rich history of Protest art in Aotearoa, and asks young people what they would want to say and then gives them the tools to fly their words high for everyone to see.
