Uku Garden Pots

This hands-on clay workshop is an opportunity for kids to get their finger muscles moving and creativity flowing. Inspired by critters, plants and vegetables that we might find in the garden, both above and below the ground. The workshop will teach basic hand building skills of clay construction through pinch pot and coil techniques, using slurry for joining and clay slip colours for decoration. Students will end up with a unique creation that is glazed and fired and ready to plant a small plant into.
Works will be glazed and fired before being returned to the artists.
