Workshop
In this workshop students will learn about some of the wonderful freshwater species found in the rivers and creeks of Aotearoa. They will choose one of these creatures to depict in their own way, and through exploration with watercolour techniques create a bright fishy artwork.
When used on good quality watercolour paper, it can be a rich and rewarding experience to learn through experimentation how the paint will react to the surface being wet or dry, or how different colours can be found through layering rather than mixing. Students will be encouraged to try things out and plan out their final works based on what they discover.
