 Tāwhirimātea Hits the West Coast

Based on the wild west coast seascapes of Tāmaki Makaurau, this workshop will weave in tales of Tāwhirimātea (the Atua of weather) as the students try out a variety of techniques designed to align with the feeling of a stormy windswept beach.

This is a mixed media workshop, starting off in paint, including the making of a paintbrush and the use of gesso, sand, ink, charcoal and chalk pastels.
