 Screen and Stamp

Presenting two different approaches to fabric design this workshop offers students a chance to experience screen printing alongside the design and use of their own foam printing stamp.

The class will explore how patterns shift when shapes are overlayed, with children given the opportunity to use set screen-printing screens and fabric ink to create a conversation in pattern that will then be completed with the addition of their own stamp design. The overlay of pattern encourages students to consider both the composition alongside colour theory, as each addition mixes with the colour beneath to create a new colour.

On completion each student will take away their own unique piece of printed fabric, ideal for use as a cushion cover or a beautiful piece to hang on the wall.
