Workshop
Inspired by the colourful compositions of Warren Pouhatu’s intricate drawings, this workshop looks at native species in Aotearoa who thrive in the dark.
We will put on our night vision to study what’s lurking under the moonlight, and their vibrant habitats. Each student will come away with a full artwork that has corner-to-corner colour and considered mark-making, as well as confidence in using caran’dache pastels.

Kites that fly our words high up in the sky. This workshop takes cues from the rich history of Protest art in Aotearoa, and asks young people what they would want to say and then gives them the tools to fly their words high for everyone to see.
