Dance of Patterns - Kites

Design a beautiful unique printed kite that really flies. Drawing inspiration from the rich history of textile patterns from around the world these kites will display a layering of pattern.
Each student will design their own printing stamp which will be used in repitition to build up a pattern repeat, decorating the face of their kite with a unique complex printed pattern. Coloured ink painting will underlay the stamped-on patterns adding to the complexity and creating a dance between the two patterns.
