Cardboard Selfie

Create a life-sized self-portrait using cardboard and scissors. This workshop brings a light-hearted look at portraiture with each student describing their own appearance in cardboard shades.
During this workshop students will learn technical observational skills and how to map out a face. Pencil drawings will be translated into carboard, where they will experiment and build a portrait using different textures and tones. Students will be encouraged to look at what makes them unique and identifiable, creatively exploring the cardboard materials potential to let their personality shine through the finished artwork.
