Workshop
For the last 4,000 years, metal has been a big part of Latin American Culture. At the meeting point between the extensive knowledge of silver, copper and gold of these ancient cultures and the introduction of new techniques by the Spanish in colonial times is Filigree, or Wire Wrapped jewellery.
Artist Eloiza Montaña will guild you through the process to make your own Stirling silver earrings, exploring the inclusion of semi-precious stone or glass beads. Discover a history of pre-Columbian adornment and the relationship of metals within ancestral societies.
This workshop is open to all caregivers who would like to attend with their babies of up to 2 years old.
