A multimedia portrait workshop that examines how the weather makes us feel and how mood can be associated with colour, an expressive exercise incorporating individual ideas of identity and formal painterly techniques. This workshop utilises a variety of approaches to portraiture, stepping through value studies in ink, the application of dye to decide the weather and whether the temperature is hot or cold in tone and then a final layer of paint, learning colour mixing and mark application. There are elements of play and wild mark making incorporated into the workshop to create new directions of artistic endeavour in a fun way.
