The Beginning of Cinema

In this school holiday workshop children will enter the magical world of cinema! Working with resident artist and film maker Eloiza Montaña they will understand how cinema works and they will have the opportunity to build their own zoetrope.
A zoetrope is a pre-film animation device that produces the illusion of motion, by displaying a sequence of drawings or photographs showing progressive phases of that motion.
Children will experience for themselves how moving images work while creating 12 drawings to complete their first second of film!
