Workshop
Journey into the habitat of the dry, hot, Savanna for a two-day sculptural workshop, studying the form and features of animals such as the Cheetah, Giraffe, Elephants and Spotted Hyena.
Kids will create a collection of observational drawings to inspire the construction of a 3D model using wire, foil and air-dried clay.
We'll finish off our small-scale animal sculptures with acrylic paint, adding distinctive details to bring their character to life with the guidance of published author and illustrator Stephanie Thatcher.

Kites that fly our words high up in the sky. This workshop takes cues from the rich history of Protest art in Aotearoa, and asks young people what they would want to say and then gives them the tools to fly their words high for everyone to see.
