Workshop
Explore Manu Aute kite making in this special Matariki offering by our Schools’ Education Team, combining traditional tikanga toi (art techniques) such as the tukutuku stitch and binding.
Patterns inspired by te ngahere (the forest) and nature will adorn your Manu Aute, acknowledging the entwined connection between Māori cultural pattens and nga whenua (the lands) of Aotearoa.
Please bring a full lunchbox and drink bottle dressed in clothes that are allowed to get dirty.
