In recognition of the 130th Anniversary of Women's Suffrage, we're celebrating gender equality and female empowerment with a photographic group portrait of all the women who are now, and have been connected to Corban Estate over the years.
This is an invitation to join us.
Whether you are a member of the Corban family, or once worked on the vineyard or the winery in years past; if you've been a resident artist or staff member at Corban Estate Arts Centre; if you've attended any arts workshops, events or have been a visitor to the Galleries and Cafe; if you've ever hired a venue for a wedding, a festival, a meeting or special occasion; if you've walked your dog, rode your bike, taken a stroll through our grounds or spray painted the grafitti walls - we want to honour all the women connected to this place and invite you all to join us for this special portrait, which will be taken by New Zealand photographic artist Edith Amituanai MNZM.
Please extend this invitation to all the wāhine you think would like to join us.
Nau mai, haere mai koutou katoa!
