Dawn Wishes to Hiwa-i-te-Rangi

Dawn Wishes to Hiwa-i-te-Rangi is a special dawn ceremony marking the close of the Matariki Festival at Corban Estate Arts Centre. Led by artist Penny Howard, this gathering is a time for reflection, renewal and connection.

Wishes, hopes and dreams written by visitors throughout the festival will be offered to Hiwa-i-te-Rangi, the star of aspirations, through fire. As the Matariki cluster shines in the early-morning sky, we will come together in karakia, fire and kai.

Hot chai tea is kindly offered by Coffee Studio, with coffee available to purchase. Kai lovingly prepared by Penny for all to share.
