Class
Using a variety of rollers, brushes, paints and papers each child will produce a series of printed images, gathering inspiration from traditional Japanese Woodblock printing methods and resources. Students will experiment with a wide range of printing techniques including cardboard relief making, stamping, mono-printing, layering existing plates, illuminating and collaging the produced prints. They will begin by preparing and creating their own colourful paper selection to print on.

Kites that fly our words high up in the sky. This workshop takes cues from the rich history of Protest art in Aotearoa, and asks young people what they would want to say and then gives them the tools to fly their words high for everyone to see.
