Character Jars

Let’s invent new shapes for jars! They might look like an animal body with its head being the lid. Or what about making a jar in the form of a rocket? We will start with brainstorming ideas through drawing then you will learn about clay sculpting techniques, decorating with colourful slips as well as throwing small vessels on the wheel. All works will be fired and ready for collection before X-mas.

About Term Classes:

Term classes are a chance to delve deeper into art techniques and creative mediums over a 6 week period. Set in our art studios, children work closely with and learn from inspiring, practising artists. Costs include all materials.
