Workshop
In this Tikanga-based workshop, learn how to create a contemporary bone carving. You will be guided through the carving design process and be introduced to a new skillset where you will learn techniques in grinding, drilling, wet and dry sanding and polishing.
Maha will lastly teach you specialised lashing and binding techniques that were traditionally used throughout Polynesia. Please wear closed-toe shoes.

Kites that fly our words high up in the sky. This workshop takes cues from the rich history of Protest art in Aotearoa, and asks young people what they would want to say and then gives them the tools to fly their words high for everyone to see.
