Calling all rappers, poets, spoken word performers and songwriters… If you write your own material in any word-based genre then we need YOU!

Word Up! is an exciting performance competition which gives 13 – 21 year olds the opportunity to present their original work: from rap, poetry and spoken word to song lyrics, or even stand-up comedy.

Grand Final: Friday 7 September. 

An evening of original word-based performance by young people, in association with the Going West Books and Writers Festival. Be in the audience to hear young singer-songwriters, poets and rappers present their own original work. Yes, it’s a contest, and there are prizes to be won!
