Drawing for the Figure

Draw and understand the human figure in this workshop. Explore a simple set of methods to enable the use of minimal lines to draw the human form in multiple poses, within perspectives, different genders and ages. Then put these skills into the context of expressive life drawing on the final day, taking away a series of strategies that can be adapted to all aspects of drawing the human form.

Paul has a Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture, and is currently a Senior Lecturer in Design and Contemporary Arts at Unitec. Paul works across the disciplines of Design, Public Art, and gallery-based Painting/Drawing practice. He has had work commissioned and exhibited in the UK, Europe, and New Zealand and is represented by NKB Gallery in Auckland.
