Workshop
This weaving workshop brings together two worlds, blending the traditional with the contemporary, while acknowledging the past and present; ngā tāonga tuku iho (gifts and knowledge passed down).
Students will learn a karakia and the tikanga of harvesting harakeke before studying plaiting techniques with different fibers on their own unique tipare (headband).

Kites that fly our words high up in the sky. This workshop takes cues from the rich history of Protest art in Aotearoa, and asks young people what they would want to say and then gives them the tools to fly their words high for everyone to see.
