Tāne-te-waiora, Shall we work together?

Curated by Ariane Craig-Smith & Chris McBride for The Kauri Project

7 June - 21 July 2019

The Kauri project, new growth on Kauri from Mc Cahon saplings (2018), Courtesy of the collective.

Invoking Tāne te Waiora, the atua Tāne representative of life, light and physical welfare, The Kauri Project collective offer a call for collaboration – suggesting that health and prosperity for Kauri, and for the people of Kauri, will be found in collective action. Since 2013, The Kauri Project has been working to explore the role art might play in ecological education and activism – specifically towards the care and protection of Kauri. The Kauri Project brings together voices from across creative, cultural, political and scientific disciplines through a process of wānanga and creative exchange.
