Exhibition
Attitude towards encountering nature provides insight into artist Sena Park’s time in Mongolia based artist residency in 2018. After returning home from Mongolia, where she created artwork for the 5th Land Art Mongolia exhibition,
she realised that her urban upbringing had not prepared her for making work in the vast nomadic landscape. This installation is a narrative-work about encountering nature as a contemporary observer, ‘wanting to look only from a window and reluctant to immerse oneself in the true hardships of the environment’.

Kites that fly our words high up in the sky. This workshop takes cues from the rich history of Protest art in Aotearoa, and asks young people what they would want to say and then gives them the tools to fly their words high for everyone to see.
